He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Cruse and Katherine Cruse (Hornback); and his sister Bonnie Cruse. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Cruse; his daughters, Diana Plotner and Linda James (Kenny); his grandchildren, Nick Plotner (Sara), Danielle Johnson (Aaron), Amber Clain (Zack) and Brandon Morris; and his siblings, Rick Cruse, Lenny Cruse, Atha Philhower and Doris Nickell.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the DeRoo Funeral Home (1811 15th St Pl, Moline, IL 61265). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Rock Island National Cemetery.
