She was predeceased by: her father Joseph Ryckeghem; and her nephew Angel Perez. She is survived by: her mother Mary Ann Ryckeghem (Loontiens); her sons, Levi Howard (Dawn), Brian Howard (Jen) and Chris Hillyer (Katie); her husband John Howard; her siblings, Val Rumler (Tim) and Russ Ryckeghem (Jody); and her aunt Pat Williams (Jim). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and foster children.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Martin Luther King Center in Rock Island, or NAMI Greater Mississippi Valley.
