He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bratcher and Dorotha Bratcher (Cook); his siblings, James Bratcher and Deborah McCracken; his niece Susan Teal; and his brother-in-law Michael Flake, Sr..

He is survived by: his wife Tracy Bratcher (Flake); his daughters, Dorotha and Isabella; and his siblings, Cheryl Allen (James), Donna Teal (Mike) and Robert Bratcher (Judi). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Will County Humane Society or plant a tree in Walter's memory.
