He was loved and cherished by many people including: his spouse Stacey Smith; his children, Paige Elizabeth Nygaard (Claire), Jacob Matthew Smith (Bridget), Blaise Matthew Smith and Ty Patrick Smith; his grandchildren, Logan and Brooklyn; his parents, Margaret Smith and John Smith; his siblings, Tim Smith (Karen), Megan Smith Roe, Eileen Gavlin (Terry) and Brendan Smith; his children, Emily, Elizabeth, Melissa and Michael Tarrant; and his friend Marty Bradley.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hickey Memorial Chapels - Midlothian (4201 147th St, Midlothian, IL 60445). A prayer was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St Christopher Church - St Augustine (4130 147th St, Midlothian, IL 60445).
