It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Karol Sue Kessler of Mode, Illinois, born in Mattoon, Illinois, who passed away on December 6, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Allen Kelly and Lillian Kelly (McCoy); her spouse Glen Lee Kessler; her sons, Bradley of Effingham, Allen L. (Geannine) of Shumway and Timothy E. (Pat) of Mode; her grandchildren, Summer Kessler of Effingham, Aaron VanScyoc of Watson, Dirk Kessler (Leslie) of Swansea, Trenten Kessler (Amanda) of St. Louis, MO, Shauna Curry (Brent) of Mode, Tory Holste (Ben) of Shumway, Chad Kessler (Vanessa) of Mode and Adam Kessler (Alyssa) of Sigel; her daughter-in-law Christine; and her brother-in-law Tom.
She is survived by: her sister Mary Beth Welch of Phoenix, AZ.
In honor of Karol, memorials may be given in her name to the C.O.W.S Playground Fund or to the Stewardson American Legion Wilbur Broughton Post 611.
