It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Mae Wheat of Mode, Illinois, born in Tower Hill, Illinois, who passed away on July 26, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Harlow and Sylvia Harlow (Roberts); her husband Carl LaVerne Wheat; her brother Otis "Bill" Harlow; her son-in-law Edward "Gene" Howe; and her close friend Marcia Craig.

She is survived by: her children, Dennis Wheat (Mattie) of Mode and Debra Howe of Mode; her grandchildren, Jason Howe (Jessica) of Mode, Deidra Howe of Cowden and Joseph Wheat (Anne) of Altamont; her great grandchildren, Jordyn Eggers (Christian) of Stewardson, Jansyn Howe (Cameron Reynolds) of Farmer City, Jaelyn Howe of Mode, Jacob Howe of Mode, Brittany Wheat of Flowery Branch, Georgia and Casey Wheat (Cordell) of Stewardson; her great great grandchildren, Maximus, Sage of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Turner, Phellicity Kersey of Stewardson, Hadley Thrush of Stewardson and Camson Reynolds of Farmer City; and her siblings, Robert Harlow and Fern Lenover of Pana.
