He is survived by: his daughter Jackie Utter (David Homan); his grandsons, Tyler and Zachary Shank; his sister Pam Hartwell (Roger); his fiancée Diane Bales; his fiancée's sons, Brandon and Jimmy Bales; his sister-in-law Paula Windom; his niece Michelle Hartwell (Bob Muhich); and his nephews, Robert Ray Hartwell, James Dale Hartwell (Jenny) and Timothy Eugene Hartwell (Myrna).
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the Center of Abraham Lincoln (700 E Oakwood Blvd, Chicago, IL 60653). The military honors was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
