It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gloria M. McCollum of Minooka, Illinois, who passed away on December 25, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Jennings and Gloria Jennings; her husband Charles E. McCollum; her son John McCollum; and her sister Ellen Monaco.
She is survived by: her children, Ray McCollum, Charlene McCollum (Diane) and Laura Pochordo (Michael); her grandchildren, Ray "RJ" McCollum, Jr. (Jessica), Greg McCollum (Lindsey), Matthew McCollum, Delaney Hoffman, Kyle McCollum, Carter Hoffman and Tyler Pochordo; her great grandchildren, Emma, Ava, Jack, Cullen, Madeline, Charlie and Landon; her brother Lenny Jennings (Andrea Rose); and her daughters-in-law, Patti McCollum and Marian McCollum. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Fred C. Dames Funeral Home (3200 Black Rd, Joliet, IL 60431). A memorial service was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421).
