With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald W. O'Brien (Minooka, Illinois), who passed away on February 17, 2020 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter O'Brien and Frances O'Brien (Hexdall); his daughter Kelly O'Brien; his niece Karyn Greenbeck; and his nephew Guy Sassenger.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Greenbeck; his children, Scott of Minooka and Kristy Pierce (Brent) of Morris; and his siblings, Winston (Carol), Bonnie Sassenger (Ralph) of Morris, Brother N Law, Wayne Greenbeck of Minooka, Leah Greenbeck (Bruce Lund) of Joliet, Toni O'Brien (Emanuel Martinez) of Morris and Lori Heinrich (Mike) of Surprise, Arizona.
A service will be held immediately following atThe Maple Funeral Home at 1:00, Pastor Sarah Hong Officiating with burial immediately following at Seward Mound Cemetery, In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation or Minooka United Methodist Church.
