He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Hinshaw and Eva Hinshaw; his wife Frances Ann Hinshaw; and his son Troy Ryan Hinshaw. He is survived by: his children, Natalie Jurica (Steve) and Trent Hinshaw; and his grandchildren, Emily Jurica, Trey Jurica, Carson Hinshaw, Ryan Hinshaw and Grant Hinshaw. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“I am so saddened to hear of Gerry's passing. I had talked to him a couple of weeks ago and he was so upbeat and feeling well after his amputation. He talked about his children and how much he loved them and we recounted old times. Gerry was a longtime friend and classmate. I loved him dearly and will miss talking to him immensely. My condolences to his family. Ron (Gunner) Johnson (the nickname he gave me)”

“I am heartbroken to hear of my dear friends passing. I had been trying to call him as our last conversation a month ago was so enjoyable. He talked about his children and how much he loved them. He was so upbeat about his health after his amputation. He dearly missed Fran but was reconciled to her passing and still mourning his son who had passed. Gerry was a childhood friend and school mate. I will miss him immensely. Ron (Gunner) Johnson. The nickname he gave me. Loved him dearly. My sympthaty”
