He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie Lauterbach (Nelson) and Oscar F. Lauterbach; his son Paul; and his brothers, Oscar Jr. and Richard.

He is survived by: his wife Jane (Browman); his children, John (Shannon), Matthew (Jessica) and Andrea (Edward Mooney); and his sister Joan Johnson (Robert).

Memorials may be made in Dan's name to Lightways Hospice (formerly Joliet Area Community Hospice).
