With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velma L. Matter (Minonk, Illinois), born in Pontiac, Illinois, who passed away on April 20, 2020 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Velma L. Matter to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Delbert Alltop and Nicie Hamilton Alltop; and her husband Carl E. Matter. She is survived by: her children, Peggy Barth (Lynn) of El Paso and Terry Matter (Laurel) of Minonk; and her grandchildren, Randy Barth (Mandy) of El Paso, Julie Walters of Minonk, Corey Matter (Liz) of Minonk and Brandon Matter of Minonk. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Due to COVID 19, a private service will be held on April 23, 2020 at Ruestman-Harris Funeral Home in Minonk.
