It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Avril B. Carter of Minonk, Illinois, born in Center, Texas, who passed away on August 12, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John R. Carter and Leona Moore Carter; his wife Betty D. Pierceall; his daughter Lillian; and his siblings, John Ralph, Alfred, Joe Drake, Garth, Barbara, James and Mary Jo.

He is survived by: his children, Drake Carter of Bismark, ND, Sarah (Steve), S. C. and Cliff Carter (Patti); his stepchildren, Linda Adams, Tony Pierceall (Renee), Tenn, Jan Beschorner (Rich), James Pierceall and Karen Klendworth (Scott); and his sisters, Lottie and Leona Mae. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
