He is survived by: his spouse Mildred Schmidgall; his sons, Matthew Bennet (Karen) of Morton and Dave Bennet (Kristyne) of Willow Springs, MO; his grandchildren, Ryan Bennet (Tory), Jennifer Bennet, Paige Bennet, Dylan Bennet, Megan Bennet and Darcy Bennet; and his sisters, Marjorie Bodden (Jackie Weihmeir) of Fort Belvoir, VA and Australian Shepherd.
