He was predeceased by: his parents, Duane Rakestraw and Shirley Rakestraw (Sierens); his brother Daniel Rakestraw; and his brother-in-law Jim Howell. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Vyneman; his children, Kelsey Rakestraw of Annawan, Heath Rakestraw (Sonia) of Mineral, Raquel Frankenreider of Yorkville and Shannon Frankenreider (Chelsea) of Annawan; his grandchildren, Myla Rakestraw, Peyton Frankenreider, Baylor Frankenreider, Charlie Frankenreider and Collins Frankenreider; and his siblings, Deb Rakestraw of Naperville, Duane Rakestraw (Linda) of Geneseo, Denise Howell of Geneseo and Darrell Rakestraw of Annawan.
