We bid farewell to Stanley Smith of Milton, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 18, 2025 at the age of 72. Stanley touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, David Henry, Sr. and Agnes M. Ryan Smith; and his sisters, Donna Waggoner and Mary Farrah. He is survived by: his wife Sandy of Milton; his children, Julie Hoover (Brian) of Pittsfield, Traci Wood (Bobby) of Milton, Jeff Smith (Cheryl) of Jacksonville and Shawn Hoover (Liz) of Pittsfield; his grandchildren, Kayla Miller (Trevor) of Jarrett, Reed Hoover, Brooke Hoover, Lucas Hoover, Jagen Wood and Christian Smith; his great grandchildren, Gemma and William Miller; and his siblings, David, Sr. Smith (Fran), Karen Norton (Bob) and Gloria Brown (Larry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Niebur Funeral Home (530 W Adams St, Pittsfield, IL 62363). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials are suggested to be made to Milton Christian Church or Douglas Cemetery.
