We are sad to announce that on October 3, 2023, at the age of 80, Carolyn Jean Stein of Millstadt, Illinois, born in Pinckneyville, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lowell Johnson and Dorothy Mae Crumbacher (Smith); and her sister Nita Kellerman. She is survived by: her husband Sylvester George Stein; her children, David Andrew Stein of Belleville, IL and Sheila Elizabeth Kampmeyer (Robert) of Caseyville, IL; her sister JoAnn Gerencher (Bob) of Chicago, IL; her grandchildren, Michael Neil Stein, Emily Ann Stein, Gabrielle Mae Kampmeyer, Theodore Louise Kampmeyer and Abigail Rose Kampmeyer; and her great grandchild Harper Jasmine Knope. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
