She was predeceased by: her parents, John Krull and Jennie Krull (Veer); her husband Ivan "Gene" Smith; her sister-in-law Carol Smith of Mt. Carroll; and her siblings, Harm Krull, Raymond Krull and Gert Kramer.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Smith (Elynn) of Thomson and Steven Smith (Eva) of Orlando, FL; her grandchildren, Austin Smith (Laura), Nicole Perez (Romel) and Mindy Slack (Simon) of Nottingham, England; and her great grandchildren, Isabella Selene Perez, Cadence Elise Perez, Khaleesi Evaline Slack, Niko Steven Slack, Saxon Ian Slack and Sadie Lucille Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
