She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Hartje and Ethel Hartje (Wagner); her brother Ronald; her sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Johnson and Marlene Hartje; and her nephew Kurt Hartje.

She is survived by: her husband Richard Deets; her grandchildren, Kal, Kirk and Keali Engelkens; her children, Jody Engelkens, Michael Deets of Mesa, AZ and David Deets Shorewood (Monica); her grandchildren, Ryne, Reece and Royce Deets; and her siblings, Diane Ritenour (Bill) and Gary Hartje of Milledgeville.
