Thomas G. Spengler Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thomas G. Spengler (Milan, Illinois), who passed away on March 17, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Spengler and Lorraine Spengler (Jinks); his brother Larry Spengler; and his parents-in-law, William and Martha Wagoner.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Spengler (Wagoner); his daughters, Anjanette Swingle (Marc) of Eldridge, Kristine Lingafelter (Jim) of Matherville and Jacquelyn Carstens (Dan) of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Malia Swingle, Marcus Swingle, Hannah Bjustrom (Clayton), Cameron Lingafelter (Maddie), Grant Akers, Kaleb Akers, Trey Akers, Kiegan Carstens and Malayna Carstens; and his great grandchildren, Alice Lingafelter, Carson Bjustrom, Walker Bjustrom, River Akers, Theo Lingafelter and Reed Bjustrom.
The military honors will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 4:30 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home & Crematory (201 4th Ave E, Milan, IL 61264). Visitation will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 24th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Open House.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the family to establish a memorial.
