He was predeceased by: his parents, George Jacobs and Evelyn Jacobs; his wife Carolyn Avery; his son Kevin Jacobs; and his brothers, Marvin Jacobs and George Jacobs Jr..

He is survived by: his daughter Carol Hendrickson; his grandchildren, Sarah Martin (Eric), Chris Rogers (Maggie) and Kevin Anderson (Kathryn); and his great grandchildren, Bryce, Aaron Rogers, Elijah Dewitt, Jeremy, Jaxon, Andrew, Robert Martin and Nathan Anderson.
