With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lori Kaye Smith of Milan, Illinois, born in Moline, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 29, 2024 at the age of 68. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Lori Kaye may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Lori Kaye touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her mother Sibilla "Billie" Johnson (Gutridge). She is survived by: her father Paul Johnson; her husband Lee Smith; her children, Eric Miller (Amy), Danielle Brown (Jeremy) and Daniel Smith (Carrie); and her sisters, Joni Lange (Steve) and Tammi Wild (Joe). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
