It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James L. Carney of Milan, Illinois, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Carney and Emma Carney; and his wife Mary Jane Van Etten. He is survived by: his brothers, Stan "Rich" Carney and Tom Carney (Mary). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
