He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Hohl and Diane Hohl (Morgan); and his brother Michael Hohl. He is survived by: his wife Shelley Nelson; his daughters, Shannon Leffler and Carrie Ward; his grandchildren, Devin Laird, Ayanna Ward and Allister Ward; and his siblings, Neal Hohl, Pat Hohl, Danny Hohl and Karen Warner (Chuck).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home (201 4th Ave E, Milan, IL 61264). A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. (201 4th Ave E, Milan, IL 61264).
