He was predeceased by: his parents, Ellis C. Garrett and Mina J. Garrett (Hanna) of Rock Island; and his grandson Joshua Lofquist. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Garrett; his children, Robin Weeks, Edward J. Garrett (Judy), Jeffery Garrett, Randy Garrett and Jerry Garrett (Sue); his grandchildren, Jason Lofquist (Jennifer), Kyle Garrett (Lisa), Cameron Garrett (Elizabeth) and Courtney Garrett; and his great grandchildren, Logan, Haley, Liam, Ellie, Brody, Rhett, Blakely, Leo and Mazie.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Children's Diabetes Foundation in Aurora, CO or the Chapel Grove Cemetery in Milan, IL where Ed served as president for more than 30 years.
