He was predeceased by: his parents, Audrey Schmidt and Walter Schmidt Sr.; and his siblings, Nancy Schmidt, Richard Schmidt and William Schmidt.
He is survived by: his wife Beth Schmidt; his son Jeremy Schmidt; his stepchildren, Courtney Hickey (Patrick), Natalie Kallis and Adam Kallis; his grandchildren, Devon Kallis, Ethan Hickey, Shelby Hickey and William Hickey; and his siblings, Lawrence Schmidt (Susan) and Karen Sears. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Hickey Memorial Chapels - Midlothian (4201 147th St, Midlothian, IL 60445). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 29th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
