Ruth Lillian Thorne Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ruth Lillian Thorne (Midlothian, Illinois), who passed away on March 11, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her siblings, Hugh Crane (Kathy) and Doris Jochens (late Carl); her husband Edward Thorne; her friend Sylvia Bowen; and her parents, Hugh Crane and Grace Crane.

She is survived by: her children, Bruce Thorne (Cathy) of West Dundee and Grace Winston (Chris) of Oak Park; her grandchildren, Tarah O'Connell (Brendan), Brent Thorne (Courtney), Cassidy Winston and Ryan Winston; her great grandchild Everleigh O'Connell; her sibling Marion; and her friend Pat Bayer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Special Olympics of Illinois in memory of Ruth Thorne, 605 E. Willow St., Normal, IL 61761.
