He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sharon Crooks; his children, George D. Crooks Jr. (Kimberly), Daniel Crooks, Scott Celani and Angela Celani; his grandchildren, Kendal, Malaysiah and Milanii; and his siblings, Robert Crooks Jr. (Marie) and Candis Bollinger (late Michael).

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
