He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Catherine and Arthur M. Chastain Sr.; and his brothers, Arthur M. Chastain Jr., Charles Chastain and Michael Chastain.

He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Chastain; his daughter Nikki Chastain; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Ellie and Isabelle.
