William S. Ballard Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William S. Ballard of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on January 14, 2025 at the age of 75. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Earl and Odell Ballard (Marshall). He is survived by: his wife Janet Ballard; his sons, Samuel David Ballard (Kathy) and Kevin Dewayne Ballard; his granddaughter Autumn Nicole Ballard; his great grandchild William James Futrell; his sister Frances; his stepsisters, June and Margie; and his brother Leon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM at the Loftus-McManus Funeral Homes Inc. (70 Jon St, Metropolis, IL 62960). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in Sam's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
