He is survived by: his son John Grimes (Erika Miranda); his grandsons, John Miguel Grimes and Luke Daniel Grimes; his sister Marilyn Gaston; and his half-sisters, Bobbie Jo and Christine. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
