She was predeceased by: her parents, Blaine Slagle and Phronie Slagle (Knight); and her siblings, Carolyn Short, Catherine "Betty" Thomasson, Hannah Helm and Jack Slagle.
She is survived by: her husband Clifford Porter; her sons, Brian Porter (Frances) and Doug Porter (Mary); her grandchildren, Lauren Porter, Ben Porter and Adam McManus; and her sister Faye Reynolds. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
