Shirley Maess Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Maess of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on February 21, 2021 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Maess to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aubrey Snyder and Luella Schroeder (Timmons); her husband Otis Maess; and her siblings, Mary Sue Croft and Robert Tobin.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael Middleton (Janna) and Stephen Middleton (Cindy); her grandchildren, Julie Janzow (Micah), Clint Middleton, Laura Middleton, Seth Middleton (Zeyan) and Brett Middleton (Andrea); her great grandchildren, Tyrus Paul Janzow, Soren Janzow, Audrey Darnell, Mallory Darnell and Avery Middleton; and her sister Mattie Gilbert (Jack). She is also survived by several nephews and great nieces.
We ask that everyone attending the service practice customarily accepted social distancing and wear a face covering.
