He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Dunning and Gertrude Dunning (Kingsley); his wife Dorothy D. Dunning (Page); and his siblings, Lucille Dowell, Ava Erlene Thornley, Fred Dunning, Jack Dunning, Hillis Dunning and Lelbert "Leb" Dunning.
He is survived by: his sons, Sam D. Dunning (Laura) and Scott S. Dunning (Lisa); his grandchildren, Samuel Paul Dunning (Audrey) and Hannah Dunning; his sister Eva Eulene Schuler; his sister-in-law Catherine Dunning; and his girlfriend Melba Cockrel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
