It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Eugene Walters Sr. of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on April 7, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Curly" Walters and Violet Walters (Nannie); his former wife Peggy Walters (Davis); his brother Jim Walters; his niece Karen Logeman; and his nephew Jeff Walters.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Walters; his children, Angie Walters (Bruce George) of Metropolis, IL and Bobby; his stepson Jason Krueger (Brandye); his grandchildren, Darion George, Bryce George and Taylor Walters of Metropolis, IL; his stepgrandsons, Zack and Jake Krueger; his great grandchild Raylan George of Metropolis, IL; his siblings, Margie Smith (Ronald) of Metropolis, IL and Lanny Walters (Jean) of Metropolis, IL; and his sister-in-law Mary Walters of Marion, IL. He is also survived by several nephews and favorite nieces.
