He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Leroy Walters, Sr. and Nellie Walters (Phelps); his former wife Dorothy Evelyn Walters; his wife Betty Collins Walters; his daughter Betty Adams; and his siblings, Anna Schwegman, Mariam Evers, Elizabeth Arrison, James Marion Walters, Sr. and Clarence Leroy "Curly" Walters, Jr..
He is survived by: his son David Walters (Mary); and his grandchildren, Britney Walters-Chester, Aaron Walters, Jenny Jansen and Maggie Meyer. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
