Opal Lingle Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Opal Lingle of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on September 13, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles L. Skelton and Gladys Skelton (Mitchell); her husband William "Carl" Lingle; her daughters, Janice Lingle and Linda Lingle Choate; her grandson Michael Lingle; her brothers, Edgar Skelton and Melvin Skelton; and her granddaughter-in-law Melissa Lingle.
She is survived by: her sons, Dennis C. Lingle (Juanita) of Metropolis and Allen L. Lingle (Karen) of Conway, Arkansas; and her grandchildren, Diane Waid (Terry), Jeffery Lingle, Rhonda Lingle-Bengtson, Corey Lingle (Tabetha) and Amber Goff (Dathan). She is also survived by 12 great grand children and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Those attending the service are reminded to observe customarily accepted social distancing practices. The wearing of a face mask or covering is strongly recommended.
