He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis G. Mescher and Effie Mescher (Teckenbrock); his siblings, Ruby Mescher, Pauline Brinkman (Worth), Velma Eckenberg (Carl), Anna Mae Patmore, Floyd Mescher (Nancy) and George William Mescher (Helen); and his brother-in-law Russell McBride.
He is survived by: his wife Opal Mescher; his daughters, Beverly Azevedo (Donald) and Judy Rodgers (Patrick); his grandchildren, Ashley, Michelle, Christopher and Patrick; his great grandchildren, Kaeley, Chevelle, Ryder and Julianne; his sisters, Maxine McBride and Carolyn Villarreal (Larry); his stepchildren, Rick Yates, Shelley Yates, David Yates and Roy Richardson (Christina); and his stepgrandchildren, Ashley, Christopher, Nicholas, Jean, Heather, Lindsey, Josh and Cassie. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
