She is survived by: her father George Meadows; her daughters, Deonna Padgett and Ann Meadows; her stepdaughters, Tammy Griggs (James) and Jennifer Misiewicz; her grandchildren, Destiny Myers, Dawson McCoy, Joseph Myers, Corey Minton, Clayton Misiewicz, Treavor Minton, Elijah Noles and Kylesey Noles; her siblings, Vanessa Dummitt (Thomas) and George W. Meadows Jr. (Stacey); and her nephews, Brandon Meadows, Joshua Dummitt and Jacob Dummitt.

Memorials may be made in Melissa's name to the Paducah First Church of the Nazarene, 2626 Adams Street, Paducah, Kentucky 42003.
