She was predeceased by: her parents, John Aubrey and Annas Cook (Stratemeyer); her husband John Virgil Nelson; her brother Lowell; and her sister-in-law Catherine Cook.
She is survived by: her son Keith Nelson (Karen); her grandsons, John Daniel Nelson and Jesse Lee Nelson; her great grandchildren, Caleb Nelson, Piper Nelson, Stella Nelson and Amalee Nelson; and her nephew Kenny Beard (Donna). She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given in Mary Lou's name to Lourdes Mercy Health Hospice, 1530 Lone Oak Road, Paducah, KY 42003.
