He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Lester Gibbs, Sr. and Iva Marie Gibbs (Depper); and his siblings, Judy, Linda, Brenda, Kathy, Richard Gibbs, Donald McDowell and Bobby Depper.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Gibbs; his sons, Jeremy Leroy Gibbs, Joey Kenneth Gibbs and Gary Miller; his grandchildren, Asia, Joseph, Hope and Dontavis; and his sisters, Etta Gibbs and Sharon Klass. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Joppa Missionary Baptist Church (215 Pearl St, Joppa, IL 62953).
