It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lana J. McHaney of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on February 15, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Russell and Margaret Jean Throgmorton (Jerdon); her niece Lisa Crabtree; and her brother-in-law Robert Hughes. She is survived by: her husband Phillip McHaney; her children, Kent McHaney (Christine), Deidra Fondren (Bryan), Phillip McHaney II (Bethany) and Daniel McHaney (Jamie); her grandchildren, Emily Johnson, Timmy Johnson, Hope Leathers, Damon McHaney, Matt McHaney, Alisha McHaney, Josh McHaney, Nate McHaney, Kylie Parker and Chloe Parker; her great grandchildren, Conner McHaney, Cameron McHaney, Madelyn McHaney, Andrew Leathers, Atlas McHaney, Natalie Johnson, Skyler Johnson, Oliver Johnson, Amelia McHaney and Miles Johnson; her sister Connie Hughes; and her sister-in-law Sue Modglin (Jim). She is also survived by 2 nieces and one nephew.
