As we bid adieu to Joyce's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Joyce has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Silas Whitley and Rosalie Whitley (Sullivan); and her siblings, Marilyn Steele and David Ray Whitley. She is survived by: her sons, Weston Mescher (Rhonda) and Preston Mescher; her grandchildren, Tyler Parr and Presha Kotter; and her great grandchildren, Cheyanne Stoner, Travis Stoner, Ryleigh Parr and Drake Parr. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Liberty Ridge Cemetery (1205 Mt Mission Rd, Metropolis, IL 62960).
