John Tanner Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Tanner of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on December 11, 2021 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bobby Joe and Juanita Tanner; his daughter Tosha Tanner; and his sisters, Theresa Waddell and Bobbi Jo Wilkins.
He is survived by: his children, Julia Tanner, Lakin Smith (Ryan) and Noah Tanner (Ruth); his grandchildren, Theron Tanner, Landon Hopkins, Abel Tanner, Vincent Hardison, Roman Smith, Evah Smith, Eliza Smith, Evelyn, Adelyn Tanner and Madelyn Tanner; his siblings, Mary Bruce, Nita Dawn Haney and Bill Tanner (Annette); and his uncle Bill Tanner (Evelyn). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
