It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Koerner of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away on March 31, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his daughter Brooksie Beard; his grandchildren, Keaton Beard (Amy), Klarissa Beard, Kolby Beard and Natauzzia Cole; his great grandchildren, Damion, Brooklyn Riley, Neavah, Jamari and Nikeal Cole; his brother Norman Koerner; and his close friend Susan Sawyers. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
