He was predeceased by: his parents, William Hodge and Jennie Hodge (Brewner). He is survived by: his wife Helen Jeanne Reeder; his children, Rena Miller of Metropolis, Susie Munton (Gary) of Collinsville, IL, Cynthia Gramlich (Dean) of Chicago, IL and John Hodge (Rob) of Troy, IL; his grandchildren, Larry Dale Miller (Jennifer), John Miller (Lori), Becky Burgess (Chris), JoAnna Yates, Dr. Rodney Asbrock (Beth), Dr. Kevin Asbrock (Debbie), Sarah Copeland (Billy) and Dr. Danny Beal (Jane); his great grandchildren, Autumn Henderson, Amber Miller, Kalen Miller, Jake Miller, Keaton Burgess, Cade Burgess, Kennedy Burgess, Abby Yates, Caroline Yates, Will Yates, John Ryan Asbrock, Maggie Asbrock, Elle Asbrock, Macy Copeland, Damien Copeland, Danielle Patterson, Christian Beal, Nick Beal, Madison White, Stret Beal, Eli Beal and Yna Beal; and his great great grandchildren, Ryden, Raynlie, Rosie White and Nick Cain. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
