James E. Manley Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James E. Manley of Metropolis, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 31, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Manley and Letha Manley (Burnham); his wife Elaine Manley; and his siblings, Annabell Becka, Mary Woods, Ruth Anderson, Betty Bayless, Katherine Rider, Raymond Manley and Paul Manley.
He is survived by: his children, Andrea Underwood (Spencer) of Paducah, KY, Carl Manley (Amy) of Metropolis and Alan Manley (Julie) of Pope County; his grandchildren, Nicole Underwood, Andrew Manley, William Manley and Jillian Jones; and his sister Margaret Farris. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, life-long friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home (70 Jon St, Metropolis, IL 62960). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
