She was predeceased by: her parents, Alma Gladys Elam and Frank Isaac Shuffle Barger; her grandparents, Charles Arzo Elam and Samantha Myrtle Moyers; and her daughter-in-law Jerri Lou Sumnlers.
She is survived by: her children, James Gill of Chattanooga, TN and Carol Gill Roop (Claude) of Mitchell, IN; her grandsons, Michael Gill, James Gill, Jr. of Chattanooga, TN and Corey Lee Cunningham of Los Angeles, CA; her siblings, Larry Cossey of Golconda and Shirley Goba of North Carolina; and her sister-in-law Jean Elam of Peoria, IL.. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
