He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Swenney and Betty Swenney (Ramsey); his grandparents, John W. Swenney, Effie Schneeman, Alfred Lee and Edith Ramsey; his brother Howard E. "Butch" Swenney; and his close friend Dawn Hornback.
He is survived by: his siblings, Ruth E. Seibert (Bill) of Paducah, KY, Rose M. Swenney (Bud) of Terra Haute, IN, John R. Swenney (Vicki) of Metropolis and Kevin D. Swenney (Stacy) of Newnan, GA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given in Jerry's name to Friends of Fort Massac 1308 E. 5th Street, Metropolis, IL, 62960 with "Mermet Lake" in the memo.
