It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved George Hertter Jr. of Metropolis, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 76, on November 28, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry Hertter, Sr. and Rosemary Hertter Allbritten (Crosier); his former wife Regena Hertter; and his stepfather Olen Allbritten. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Hertter; his children, George Henry Hertter III, Kevin Hertter and Julie Petrillo (Brett); his stepchildren, Rachel Lane (Jason) and Paul Thurman (Melissa); his grandchildren, Trevor Hertter, Ashlyn Petrillo, Easton Petrillo, Brelyn Petrillo and Kyson Petrillo; and his stepsiblings, Sue Kennedy (Paul) and Odell Allbritten (Deirdre). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID 19 restriction we ask that those attending the service wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
